According to reports given to MCV, Microsoft is gearing up for a big Kinect splash at E3 this year. Hoping to build on the success they have established already with superlative titles like Sports Abortion 2010 (released by both Ubisoft and Hudson Soft) and Sega’s finely-coded Sonic Free Riders, the big M have little left to prove.
Scott Henson the studio manager for Microsoft-owned Rare had this to say: “We’ve got E3 coming up, and there’ll be lots of exciting things happening there.”
After explaining that innovation is something that they are working towards, he hinted that we are likely to see these games take technology to a whole new level. Very impressive.
He also went on to say: “I’m sure you’ll see loads from third-party too.”
Colour me excited. It appears that The Lawnmower Man was only 19 years too early with it’s vision of Virtual Reality. Kinect at E3 2011 will literally overload your synapses.
